AdriannaKnits - OS Converted Prefold Fitted in Tie Dyed Green Review & Giveaway US 8/14

Adrianna is the momma, owner, maker, designer and photographer behind AdriannaKnits. She is the mom to two little boys and a daughter, her oldest is 7 years old. She is a work at home mom who learned the basics of crocheting from her mom at only three years old! Her grandmother was a first generation Italian immigrant whom immigrated to the US with her trade being a seamstress and her grandmother taught her how to knit and the basics of sewing. Adrianna began designing her own patterns in 2009 after her daughter was born as she found patterns boring. She also started making and trying to sell cloth diapers but found the market to be slim to none back then and extremely expensive to get into and put it on the back burner for a while. Her sister in law urged her to open an Etsy shop so she did so in 2010. You can read a little more about Adrianna and her oldest child's special needs in her About Me section.

Converted Prefold Fitted in Tie Dyed Green

This awesome OS Converted Prefold Fitted ($10.95ARV) is an unbleached Indian prefold diaper that is tied and died, hand cut and surged. The wing span of this diaper is 17.5" and has elastic through the legs and back waist, making it a true fitted diaper. It will fit from approximately 10 to 35 pounds with a 2 by 3 rise to gain the best fit for your baby. It is also available in sizes if you prefer those.

Cade is my silly goof 3 year old son who is 39 pounds. This diaper fits him with the rise snapped down and the wings on the last two belly snaps. He was able to wear this diaper comfortably and even ran around outside in it, he does definitely let me know if and when a diaper hurts him and he didn't have a single complaint. With most non converted prefolds I have a rough time getting the prefold around his waist with enough padding from the prefold over his hips so that the Snappi doesn't dig into him, so glad I found this converted prefold for ease of use with him. It is so much quicker and easier to just snap it onto a busy toddler who doesn't want to hold still for two seconds. No folding and stuffing, no worrying about the Snappi digging into to his hips or anywhere else.

I also put this diaper on Ezio who is 19 months old and 26 pounds, the rise snaps were closed all the way and the wings were snapped at the middle. This diaper does also have a cross over snap for the smaller babes. Unfortunately, my camera was dead when Ezio had this diaper on so I will need to update with a photo of him wearing it as well.

I was able to achieve a great fit with this diaper on both of my boys. There was no irritation from the tie dye and both of my boys have sensitive skin and eczema. There was also no irritation from the gentle elastic in the legs and waist and allowed for a great tension along the thighs holding any solids or not so solids inside of the diaper, unlike non converted prefolds which for me always let the solids escape making the cover dirty and having to be washed as well.

Other Products
AdriannaKnits of course also offers knit products, crocheted products, diapers, nursing pads and bow ties. One of my favorite items in Adrianna's shop is her crocheted Knit Brains Hat!

Maggie Bags Confetti Combo Campus Tote Review {Sponsor Spotlight}

Maggie Bags are made with automotive seat belt webbing that is built to meet government safety standards to protect us in our cars. With the governments high standards, millions of yards of seat belt material are rejected each year by automakers. So Maggie Bags uses as much of these rejected materials as possible to create their durable seat belt purses and handbags. Maggie Bags launched their first line of these beautiful seat belt handbags in the spring of 2009 with only a handful of retailers and a small online store. However, today their fashionable and functional seat belt purses can be found in hundreds of retailers across the United States as well as many online retail stores and their very own online store. Maggie Bags began with their parent company, Adrian's Inc., launching their Tennessee Webbing Products in 1991, this has helped keep millions of yards of narrow fabrics out of landfills ever since.

Confetti Combo Campus Tote

The Maggie Bags Confetti Combo Campus Tote retails at $84, it features an array of colors of seat belt webbing. The entire outside, all four sides, the bottom and straps are made securely with the seat belt webbing. This handbag is not only fashionable and multipurpose, but also very durable. You can use this handbag as a purse, things for the beach, books for school, etc.

There are four nickle plated feet on the bottom of the handbag. These help to keep the bottom of the bag from becoming torn up from setting it on the ground and such by raising the bottom of the handbag off of the floor a bit so it is not sitting flush against the ground. They help to keep the handbag durable and last longer.

The inside of the Campus Totes are lined with Maggie Bags Signature Satin Lining and has a secure and durable zipper closure.

There is a fairly large zippered pocket on the inside, which I find great for important cards such as credit/debit cards and appointment reminder cards as well as any other business cards. I also use this pocket for cash and it's great for change, not too deep so your not searching all around for loose change.

There are also two closure free pockets on the other side of the inside of the handbag. These pockets I use for keys, my cell phone and camera.

I use my Maggie Bags Confetti Combo Campus Tote as a diaper bag when I have the kids with me. When using it as a diaper bag I can fit about 6 cloth diapers, 3 for each of my two boys as well as 1-2 outfits for each of them and I still have a little room left over. If I run to the store by myself, I usually walk, so I use this as a bag to carry things in that I've purchased. It is much better and easier to walk back home with this over my shoulder then to carry grocery bags around my wrists and hands leaving them red and sore. I was able to carry two 2-liters, a half gallon of milk as well as some small snacks inside of this bag. Just filled it up, tossed it on my shoulder and home I went. It was kind of heavy, obviously, but so much better then the grocery bags. Not to mention I felt no pulling or distress on the bag it's self, very durable, unlike thin plastic grocery bags which would have probably broke or started to rip not even half ways home. Also, Dan commented when I got back with, "Wow. That was quick.", as I normally end up having to stop a few times to readjust the bags or give my hands and wrists a break. I have a rare form of arthritis and carrying anything heavy in my hands or on my wrists for a long period of time ends up hurting quite a bit.

I love my Maggie Bags Confetti Combo Campus Tote! Jedilynn, my 7 year old daughter has asked me if she could use this handbag to take her clothes in to other family members houses as she is always gone through out summer break, unfortunately I was a "mean" mom and had to tell her no. I don't get much for myself and anything girly, I always end up sharing with her. This one is mom's and only mom's, sorry honey!

Robby Wash Blue Laundry ball pack giveaway US 8/19

Hosted By:  NYSavingSpecials

Sponsored by : Oransi

One lucky winner will win a

Robby Wash Blue Laundry ball pack

Robby Wash Laundry ball pack will keep your laundry clean up to one year. No need for detergents!

I have not tried the Robby Wash Laundry Balls, but would greatly love to! As I am a mother of three and wash clothes for a family of five this would be absolutely amazing and such a money saver for us! I wash at least 3 loads of laundry each day, although that is partially because I have fallen behind as I also have cloth diapers for the two boys to wash every day to every other day which takes up quite a bit of time. Anyhow, I go through a large bottle of detergent in about 2 months or so, depending on if I try and keep up on the laundry or give up and just wash what we need. I know, pretty horrible. I'd love for all of my laundry to be and I'm sure I'd wash even more and more often if I had these Robby Wash Balls, what about you?!

#rockyourblog Milk Chocolate is the BEST!

I love Milk Chocolate! Dark Chocolate just doesn't take right to me and white chocolate is gross and not even chocolate in the first place! White chocolate contains no cocoa, it should not have the name chocolate.

I love milk chocolate covered strawberries! Chocolate candy bars I am pretty picky about, I like Reese's, nearly all of the newer fancy kinds they have now as well as just some plain old delicious Hershey's chocolate candy bars. Jedilynn and I made homemade chocolate not too long ago with this neat little kit we received. It was true chocolate, not milk chocolate. Jedilynn, Dan and Cade loved it, I didn't care for it too much and Ezio, who is allergic to chocolate loved it and has some nice hives on himself. NO, we did not give him the chocolate, but rather he got himself eye level with the top of the counter and boy they sure do surprise us with how long their little arms are and how far back they can reach!

What is your favorite chocolate?

6 Glow Bug Cloth Diapers Giveaway! US/CAN 8/9

Open to US/CAN
Ends 8/9

#rockyourblog Whats Your Take on Crowded Elevators? Do you speak with other passengers?

I do not care for elevators in all honesty, whether crowded or empty! Crowded is the worst and me being a passenger by myself is a little scary. One of my biggest fear of elevators is being trapped in it, either by myself or with a bunch of strangers.

Crowded elevators leave no room for personal space, I'd rather walk up or down the stairs for a few flights. Ever been in an elevator and someone lets out a nasty fart?! Yea, I have a very powerful sniffer, that is definitely a no bueno for me.

I definitely do not speak to others in the elevator unless I am with them. Duh, STRANGER DANGER!! If they say hi to me, I do respond with a polite hi back. Why don't I speak to the others in elevators? Because I've come in contact with some really weird and strange people! Even if one of these weirdos start talking to me on the street where it is wide open, I still feel trapped, but maybe that is because I am a kind person and have a hard time ignoring someone and just walking away. I don't fear others, but when I am alone with my children I am very over protective of them and sort of shield these weirdos away.

Thankfully, I do not work downtown in a busy or crowded office building where your most likely to find a crowded elevator. Only time I have used an elevator in the past year or so is at the kids doctor's office and the few times Ezio was in our local Children's Hospital, both of which usually have empty elevators. While I don't like to be the only passenger, I just don't think about any of the bad things that could happen and I'm fine.

Whats Your Take on Crowded Elevators?
Do you speak with the other passengers while riding on elevators?

Skoy Eco-Friendly Cloth review & 4pk Giveaway US 8/9

Michelle and Karen, two stay at home moms living in Encinitas, California, shared the desire to create a cloth that was better than another cloth either of them had ever used, but one that was also environmentally friendly. They began doing a little research and were shocked to see how people were cleaning their kitchens, but even more shocked when they found out how many tons of paper towels were being used and filling up landfills (2.5 million tons annually). They had a little extra time to begin this journey as their children had just started elementary school. They researched their product for almost a year and such great passion for it because they believed it was the best thing out there. They didn't stop here though, they have two new Skoy products, Skoy Scrub and Skoy Sink Rail. They made these two products to complete all of the clean up tasks Skoy Cloth.

Where did the name Skoy come from and what does it mean?
They looked for a long time until they found a word that was their philosophy for their business. Skoj (pronounced Skoy) is the Swedish word for "just for fun". They thought it would be the perfect word for their business. They wanted a business that they could have fun doing as well as bringing fun to the kitchen with really cool designs so they feel they have accomplished this while continuing to do their part to take care of Earth.

Skoy Cloth
Skoy Cloth is a European made innovative cloth that is available in many colors and designs, it is 100% biodegradable when properly composted as it is made from a natural cotton and wood-based cellulose pulp. Skoy Cloth breaks down within 5 weeks. This innovative cloth is to take the place of your paper towels, sponges, rags, dishcloths, etc. It is chlorine-free, unbleached, non-GMO and is made with water-based colors and inks. Skoy Cloth is reusable and can last months, it is absorbent and is a multi-use product! Skoy Cloth is $6.99 for a 4 pack and one skoy cloth is equivalent to using 15 rolls of paper towel, paper towel costs roughly $2 per roll. Skoy Cloth is great for your wallet and the Earth.

So how do you reuse something that is biodegradable?!
Skoy Cloth is dishwasher and washer/dryer safe! It is quick drying cloth, unlike sponges they reek and are a breeding ground for bacteria, which will never happen with Skoy Cloth if microwaved regularly. Cleaning your Skoy Cloth will keep it and your family healthy and germ-free.

Skoy cloth has two different textures to it's two sides and is great for scrubbing even stuck on messes from nights before. I used one of my Skoy Cloths to scrub my stove top and it did an amazing job!

As you can tell I am quite the messy cook, after cooking just one meal, my stove top often looks like it hasn't been cleaned for many days.

I got my Skoy cloth wet, wow it is definitely absorbent! Skoy Cloth can hold up to 15% of it's weight, which is like taking 15 sheets of good quality paper towel, stacking them together and getting them wet, but Skoy Cloth is much softer and much better and easier to clean with. It took me maybe all of 3 minutes to scrub my stove top clean. Piece of cake! Nice white and squeaky clean stove top with no fuzz or pieces of paper towel or other towels left behind.

I also use Skoy Cloth to wash my dishes and scrub dirty hand prints and other things the kids decide to put on surface, off of walls, dressers, etc with no issue. No removing of the paint either, perfect because we are only renters!

Skoy's Fundrasing for Schools!
School fundraising

Skoy has started a fundraiser opportunity for schools as many local schools to them have asked abotu raising environmental awareness through fundraising. They have created a customized print (pictured above) for their school fundraising, this combines 5 regular colorful Skoy cloths with the school print to create a unique 6 pack. How much would your child's school receive from this fundraiser? Each 6 pack will be sold by the children for $10 out of this $10, $4 will go to the fundraising. Consequently, your child's school will purchase each pack for $6, which is a 40% gross profit for your child's school.
Schools can get started by filling out the form here as well as finding additional information.

Where can you buy Skoy?
Skoy is available in all The Container Store locations as well as select Cost Plus World Market locations! Is there one near you? Find out here! I discovered that their is one not too far from me, here in Wisconsin!
You can also purchase through the Skoy website, many E-Tailors and Amazon.
Skoy also has a subscription you can sign-up for with FREE shipping! When you subscribe, you will get 8 mixed colored Skoy cloths on a regular basis (depends on the period choice you select). Subscriptions can be 3, 4, 5 or 6 months, meaning you would receive the 8 pack every x amount of months. This subscription can be cancelled at anytime.
